Boone County Arkansas, organizations stand
United in service to honor the 22nd Anniversary of 9/11
Volunteers from Harrison, Boone County, Arkansas organizations will commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by participating in the 9/11 Honor Day Event on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Harrison City Hall, 118 Industrial Park Rd., Harrison, Arkansas, at 9:30 a.m. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
9/11 Day is a chance to recapture the spirit of unity that swept the nation in the aftermath of 9/11, while paying tribute with acts of service and remembrance for those lost on September 11, 2001, and by honoring heroic first responders, military members, veterans, and the countless others who serve to defend the nation’s freedom at home and around the globe.
“September 11th is a day of history, emotion, and reflection,” says organizers, Judge Robert Hathaway, Mayor Jerry Jackson, Camp Jack president Matt Russell, Battalion Chief Ron Lemley, and Sherri Hinrichs, NAPHE Executive Director. For many Americans, it is also a day of service that provides an opportunity to join our neighbors and local leaders to make our country stronger and better for decades to come while we honor those who lost their lives in 2001 and those who rose in service to our country. This year on the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, we will come together, united in service and remembrance so We Will Never Forget.
