Jeremy Ragland grew up in the small community of Welcome Home in Searcy County. He attended Witts Springs Elementary School, where he was the only boy in his third-grade class of four students. He even had the same teacher from 1st through 3rd grade and claims he has the yearbooks to prove it. In the eighth grade, he transferred to Marshall and graduated in 2001. The move to Marshall allowed him to play football, and he is still tied with his father for the family record in career touchdowns at one each.
After high school, he moved on to Arkansas Tech University, where he graduated with a History & Political Science degree. He began his post-college career at J.B. Hunt before working at FedEx Freight in Harrison to be closer to home. Jeremy is now the Deputy Director at the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District and has served in that role since October 2014.
He and his wife, Spree, celebrated their one-year anniversary in June. They have three children who attend the Harrison School District. Jeremy and his family are active members of the Northside church of Christ in Harrison. They still spend many weekends with family hunting, fishing, working, and enjoying life where he grew up, in Welcome Home, Arkansas.
