Lou Ann Sutton said Mayor Jackson asked if she’d like to be a volunteer at City Hall. “He knew I enjoyed seeing people, and I like to know what’s happening,” she laughed.

She agreed that the volunteer position is not difficult at all. “It’s easy. Sometimes, a Monday morning can be pretty quiet, so I can read or work on my Mary Kay business while I wait for someone to come in or the phone to ring.”

Lou Ann is on the Board of Directors at a nonprofit in town, and sometimes, the situations can be disheartening to her soul. But she understands the importance of serving. She loves helping others at City Hall and seeing the positive influence in the community from the police and fire departments. You can chat with Lou Ann at City Hall on Monday mornings from 8 a.m. until noon.
