Pippin continues to satisfy our community

Editor’s Note: This is the third in a series of articles featuring information about each room at the Creekside Community Center and Creekside Aquatics.

Pippin Wholesale has supplied the Harrison sports complexes, city pool and Burlsworth Youth Center with snacks and concessions for many years. Soon, they will continue feeding guests at the two snack bars at Creekside Community Center. One faces the Aquatics Center, which does not allow food in the center but has separate indoor and outdoor seating areas. The second location is inside the new gymnasium area of the First Community Bank and Farm Bureau Insurance Boone County courts.

The concession stands will only be open during events. They will offer treats such as hot dogs, nachos, drinks, candy, chips, walking tacos (frito pie with Doritos), and possibly some breakfast items occasionally.

Pippin General Manager Matt Milburn is proud that Pippin is also a sponsor of Creekside and the sports complexes. “Under the guidance of our notable youth program leaders, they have achieved remarkable growth and are poised for continued success. Their outstanding team forms the backbone of this ongoing prosperity.”

“Our family's business has a deep-rooted, multigenerational commitment to the Consolidated Youth Program in Harrison,” Milburn continued. “Having grown up here, I've witnessed and participated firsthand in the transformative impact of these programs, which are crucial for our community's well-being. Investing in our youth isn't merely beneficial; it's essential — they are our future. By sponsoring the Creekside Community Center and many other youth initiatives, we're dedicated to fostering a safe and enriching environment where they can flourish.”

“This is our heartfelt contribution to the community that has nurtured us for a century,” he concluded. “We are focusing squarely on cultivating the potential of our children.”
