The Department of Public Works operates its own shop for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment for all city departments.  Our mission is to provide safe and dependable vehicles and equipment to City Employees and to conserve vehicle and equipment value through a program of inspection, periodic preventative maintenance, and replacement of over 220 pieces of equipment, machinary and vehicles for the City of Harrison.

Two technicians provide high quality maintenance support, roadside and emergency repairs, parts, supplies, and warehouse services.  Fleet Maintenance also manages the City’s fueling system which is used by all city departments, including the Fire and Police Departments.

Our mechanics are responsible for repair and maintenance of snow plows, construction equipment, police vehicles as well as other equipment and vehicles used by the City of Harrison.
