Harrison City Council Meetings
The City of Harrison operates under a mayor-council form of government. The council is the legislative and policy-making body of city government.
Council members serve two-year terms. The council’s regularly scheduled meetings are at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, although those dates are sometimes changed due to inclement weather, holidays, etc. Council meetings are held in Council Chambers at City Hall, 118 Industrial Park Road, unless the location is changed by a vote of the council. Standing council committees meet when necessary and those meetings are called by the committee chair. Click HERE for a list of standing committee members.
Under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1521 adopted in December 2023 and ACA §14-43-501, the council meets in early January to select standing committee members and adopt standards for council meetings and citizen involvement. The council welcomes the public under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act of 1967. See RESOLUTION NO. 1314 for council meeting procedures.
